Amy Flanagan

Director

Hello, I am Ms. Amy Flanagan. I grew up in Middletown, IN and received my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Ed from Ball State University. I fell in love with working with young children at an early age when I started working in the nursery at my church. I have worked in Early Childhood Education for 21 years with infants, preschoolers, and school aged children with special needs.
I have two children, a son 25 and a daughter 21, along with my fur baby Bella a long-haired dachshund. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, live music, traveling, and bonfires. I look forward to making a positive impact on your children!

Caraline Pfaff

Hi! I’m Caraline. I'm from Columbus, OH but have been in Indiana since starting at Ball State University in 2012. I have my Bachelor's degree in Child Development/Spanish & a Master's degree in Elementary Education. I have been working with children for over 10 years now and have been at SECC since we opened last year. I have a husband, Andy, and a daughter, Scarlett, who gets to join me at SECC each day! I also have two dogs, Hank and Opie. In my spare time, I enjoy being with family and friends and spending time outdoors in the summer. I love working with children because each day involves something new and unique!

Shannon Hege

Hi! I’m Shannon Hege, the owner of Shannon’s Exclusive Child Care at Geist and Kelley’s Exclusive Child Care. I have been caring for children of all ages since 2001 and have loved every minute! I enjoy watching them develop, build confidence, and learn through everyday play! My love for children led me to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education and make early childhood education my career. I am currently pursuing a masters degree to be completed very soon! As a mom and educator, I understand the importance of a safe, nurturing environment where children’s brains are stimulated through developmentally appropriate experiences. My husband and I have four children of our own two girls and two boys and are recent empty nesters. Our lives have slowed down a bit from choir, band, basketball, and track meets! We know how busy life can get as a parent and we are here to support you along the journey!
