Shannon Hege

Shannon is an accomplished early childhood education professional with over 24 years of experience shaping high-quality learning environments for young children. As the owner and founder of Shannon’s Exclusive Child Care, she leads an accredited program known for its nurturing culture, strong family partnerships, and excellence in early education.

She holds a Master’s degree in Leadership Development with a minor in Special Education, blending her deep understanding of child development with proven organizational leadership. Shannon’s expertise spans curriculum design, staff training, and center management, all guided by her belief that investing in educators is key to helping every child reach their potential. Through her work, she continues to raise the standard for quality care and professional growth in the early childhood field.

Amy Flanagan

Center Director

I grew up in Middletown, Indiana, and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Special Education from Ball State University. My passion for working with young children began early, serving in my church nursery, and has continued to grow throughout more than 23 years in the field.

During my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching and leading programs for children of all ages, from infants to preschoolers to school-aged learners with diverse abilities. Each experience has strengthened my belief in the power of early education and the importance of meeting every child where they are.

At Shannon’s Exclusive Child Care at Geist, I’m honored to lead a compassionate, skilled team of educators who share my dedication to creating meaningful learning experiences. I value open communication and strong partnerships with families, ensuring that together we nurture each child’s confidence, curiosity, and love of learning.

Caraline Pfaff

Assistant Director

I’ve had the privilege of being part of this wonderful community since before our doors officially opened. With 10 years of experience in early childhood education, I’m passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive environment where both children and families feel valued and connected.

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, I now call Greenfield home. I hold a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development. I’m grateful to share this journey with my husband, Andy, and our two children, Scarlett and Bailey, who are part of my daily life at Shannon’s.

What I love most about my role is the opportunity to engage with every age group and to form lasting relationships with the families we serve. It’s incredibly rewarding to help guide our program’s growth and to be part of a team that truly makes a difference in the lives of children every day.

Amy White

Assistant Director

I’m originally from West Virginia and now live east of Greenfield with my husband and our golden retriever. I’ve been part of the Shannon’s family since we first opened and feel so grateful to now serve in an administrative role supporting our amazing teachers, families, and children every day.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies with minors in Child Development, Youth and Family Studies, and Human Services. With nearly eight years of experience in early childhood education, I’ve found my passion in creating an environment where both children and educators can learn, grow, and feel supported.

What I love most about my work is the relationships, getting to know our families, celebrating milestones, and working alongside such a dedicated team. Shannon’s is truly a special place, and I’m proud to be part of it.
